Transgender People Are Sharing the Most Lovely Photos of Their Transitions

In order to encourage transgender people to show moments from their transitions that felt great or important, Ottawa teen Gabrielle Diana started the hashtag #MomentsInTransition on Tuesday, and it's grown into a really beautiful collection of pictures and celebration for transgender people.

Gabrielle posted her own #MomentsInTransition photo on Instagram to get the trend going, and it's since spread to Twitter as well. "I thought about my life, thought about the fact that this dream I had is finally becoming something REAL and I wouldn't have it any other way," she wrote. "I look back on my past and I'm not ashamed of it, I'm not embarrassed​."

Since Gabrielle's post, hundreds have joined in to post their own transition moments, and it's all really great. There are lots of mentions about important haircuts, being referred to by the correct gender pronouns, and finally feeling like yourself after being able to make your outsides match your insides.
