Hackers Have Been Watching People Have Sex on The Sofa Via Smart TVs

Sometimes it's nice to liven up your sex life by getting down to it somewhere other than a bed. Like the sofa, for example. You know, there's nothing like a bit of impromptu luurve making while you're binge-watching Netflix, is there?

But after reading this, you might want to think twice. Because it turns out that hackers have been accessing people's smart TV webcams and watching people having sex right down the lens.

Well that's awkward.

And what's worse is that apparently some of these videos are ending up on porn sites. Which is not cool at all.

According to Laura Higgins, the founder of the Revenge Porn Helpline, she has dealt with unsuspecting couples who have become victim to such a violation.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, she said: "We have dealt with one couple who were filmed making love in their living room through their smart TV by someone who had taken control of it. The footage just appeared on a website."

And they obviously weren't aware of what had happened until, mortifyingly, their friends came across the footage and told them about it. How horrific would that be?

"The victims had no idea it was there — they had not made any personal videos and no names were attached to the online footage identifying the people in it," Laura Higgins added.

"There was no communication from anyone to the couple – no blackmail threat or revenge-type message. So the conclusion must be it was a random attack – we just don't know."

I can't even imagine how horrendous it would feel to be informed that you and your sex life wew all of a sudden being aired on the internet. And it would only be made worse by the fact that it was a cyber invasion of privacy. Because how creepy is that? I'm not sure you'd ever feel safe walking anywhere around your house naked, let alone feeling comfortable enough to have sex.

Can't we all just be allowed to keep ourselves to ourselves?
