Prince Harry Did Something Amazing On Facebook Live

Often it's the simplest gestures that make the biggest difference, as Prince Harry has demonstrated in a recent live video.

While we're used to seeing the royal family taking part in glorious processions and lavish events, Prince Harry's most recent appearance saw him broadcasting live from a London clinic where he was being tested for HIV.

Yep, that's right – the Prince was so keen to show how simple the test is that he had it done himself; a brilliant way to normalise HIV testing in a world where stigma still stands.

The video was streamed live on The Royal Family Facebook page, and also tweeted by Kensington Palace. The whole process took less than four minutes – 'It's amazing how quick it is', says Harry, whose results came through as negative.

He continued: 'It's better that everyone goes and gets tested. Why wouldn't you? Whether you're a man, woman, gay, straight, black, white, whatever, even ginger, why wouldn't you come and have a test'.

Kensington Palace tweeted saying that Harry took the test live because he 'believes his generation needs to take leadership in the fight against HIV, or risk losing the gains of those who've come before.' What a guy!
