The World's Bravest Couple Got Married on a Roller Coaster

Marriage definitely comes with its ups and downs, but newlyweds James and Cortni Music​ can face any challenge head on — and with their hands up. The young couple said "I do" this weekend not in front of the altar but on a roller coaster that tops 95 miles per hour.

Their thrilling ceremony at Carowinds amusement park has a sweet story behind it, too. The North Carolina couple went there on their first date and rode the Fury 325 coaster about a dozen times. "We were obsessed with it. We fell in love with it," Cortni told ABC News​. "He actually joked around saying, 'I'm going to marry you on this roller coaster.'"​

One year later, James made good on his word and the couple chose the "world's tallest and fastest giga coaster" as their wedding venue. The next step? Finding an officiant willing to take on the challenge.

"We had asked around and talked to a couple ministers and they were terrified of the ride," Cortni said. "I put something on Facebook saying, 'Does anybody know an ordained minister that loves roller coasters?'"
