Sonakshi Sinha's Idea of Feminism is Quite Refreshing

When we recently caught up with Sonakshi Sinha, the actor spoke about everything under the sun. But what particularly caught our attention is her views on gender pay gap and the importance of being a feminist in today's world.

"Gender bias is what bothers me the most in the industry," she said, adding, "The West is more welcoming of female actors of any age, and they're not given a 'shelf life'." "That said, I also think it's a great time to be a woman in Bollywood, because not only are we getting to do some great cinema, roles are being written keeping actors in mind."

What about feminism? "I'm all for equality. Women are doing great work in every field, and there's a dire need to fill the gender pay gap now. But I don't believe in male-bashing in the name of feminism, or even playing up the feminist card to one's convenience."

Isn't that refreshing folks?
