Going Out

Hair and makeup by Lucianne Beauty

The nature of this trend is fairly glamourous, so the easiest way to wear it is for PARTIES. Silky slinky or tacky iridescent fabrics, leather and lurex are all staple textures, but for a slightly more classy update, keep your accessories minimal and clean.

Don't be scared to wear navy with black, and garish monochrome stripes for a club kids throwback vibe.

If your hemlines are short, always go for a high denier pair of tights - 80 or more.

Dressed Down

Best worn with velvet, lurex and leather, a full on electro foil fabric can be toned down with simple leather skirts for a more punk look. Less cocktail party, more breakfast club.

Pick one statement piece and try it with neutral tailoring – a crisp white shirt or black peg trousers for a less gaudy, studio 54-esque look.

A lurex polo neck layered underneath an LBD is a great way to update your workwear.

TIP: Don't wear too much black leather together - try suede or patent shoes.
