The Bobby Pins Hair Trend is Taking Off and We Approve

Hair grips worn as actual accessories –not discreet up-do fixers – is a look that's been trialled on the catwalks a few times over recent seasons but, like most left-of-centre hair trends, has taken a while to trickle down and take off.

Well it seems celeb hairstylists are keen to make it wearable this year, with both Suki Waterhouse and Khloe Kardashian getting a grip on the look in two very different ways.

First up, Suki stole the show at a charity event with this faux bob inspired by the 1920s. Her cute marcel waves were randomly gripped to her head with bobby pins and accessorised with pretty crystals.

The ultimate way to make a vintage hairstyle cool and modern, we'll pop this in our hairstyle files under 'killer party looks'.

Khloe, meanwhile, made an appearance on The Tonight Show show in the States, rocking this super-sleek low ponytail, with a pile-up of black grips that contrasted against her blonde hair.

The addition to an otherwise regular hairstyle was strategic – placed tightly together the grips served as a serious style statement and there was nothing practical about them.

Whether you choose to match or clash them to your colour, decorative bobby pins are a cool way to get creative with your 'do, without making much effort. We, for one, will make sure this tress trend stays around. Are you in?
