[UPDATED] Lady Gaga Praises Taylor Kinney For Loving "The Survivor In Me"

Lady Gaga took a break from the Oscars telecast to share a sweet message for her fiancé Taylor Kinney on Instagram. Gaga, who revealed in 2014 that she was raped when she was 19 by someone 20 years her senior, is nominated for an Academy Award tonight for the song "Till It Happens to You." The song, written with Diane Warren, is from The Hunting Ground, a documentary about sexual assault on college campuses in the U.S.

Earlier in the evening, Gaga continued to send support to Kesha, who is in the middle of a legal battle against Dr. Luke.

The message comes days after Kesha received hugs and kisses from Gaga during a gathering shared on Gaga's social media accounts. Last week, Gaga also shared a screenshot of a comment made to a fan regarding the alleged assault Kesha suffered from Dr. Luke. 

What happened to Kesha has happened to many female artists including myself and it will affect her fro the rest of her life. No one needs to validate Kesha. Why is victim always the "liar" why do we let people in a position of power get away with behaving in humanely? These guys hide behind the legal system and its their litigious behavior that is precisely what they use to rape these girls.

​​Update 2/29 at 12:20 a.m.​: Kesha has shared an Instagram post thanking Gaga and Vice President Joe Biden for "bringing attention to sexual assault" at the Oscars.
