Setting up a foothold in male dominated aviation sector is not a cakewalk but 27 year old Kanika Tekriwal from Bhopal has defied all the odds and is making her presence felt in the arena. Founder and CEO of JetSetGo, India's first online jet booking service, her company is dealing with contracts worth millions and now, she has made it to Forbes Asia's '30 under 30' achievers list.

Fascinated by everything aviation since her childhood,  she began working for it when she was just 17. Even though, she was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 21 and doctors had grim hopes for her survival, she fought with the disease to pursue her dream to make it big in the field.

Finally in 2013, she recovered from cancer and went ahead to start JetSetGo. Today, her company manages assets worth $70 millions and her clientele includes Italy's Ferragamo family. She shared information about her company in an interview, "A person wanting to hire an aircraft needs to go to the JetSetGo website, fill up the requirement upon which the website would throw up the options available. The website lists all the details of the aircraft and the airstrips where the aircraft can operate, besides other aspects that are crucial to the hiring. In case an aircraft is hired, the company receives a 5% fee for facilitating the hiring."
