Blake Lively is officially BRUNETTE

We bet that many a blonde woman has headed to the salon with a snap of Blake Lively in tow, in the hope that they'll hone her beaming highlights and beachy, sea-tossed waves. It seems that only one woman isn't on a mission to replicate that famous, golden hue, and it's gorgeous Blake herself, who has just debuted a head of brunette waves.

Yep - seemingly not content with boasting the world's most beautiful shade of blonde, the actress has plumped for an equally striking, and very on trend shade of bronde. For the uninitiated, 'bronde' stands for a flattering fusion of golden and brunette tones, which you might have already seen through the strands of Jessica Alba and Jennifer Lopez.

The 'inbetweener' tint has bumped ombré tips off the dye lust list this summer, not least because the honeyed tones pair up beautifully with sun-kissed skin. And it's not the first time that Blake has embraced a little warmth in her hair, with her previously sporting a glossy red tint for her role in The Green Lantern.

On unveiling the new hair hue on Instagram, Blake captioned the picture: "Brondes have more fun#NoTypos-IKnowIThinkItsCrazyToo". Question is, will she be saying 'xoxo' to her golden locks for good, or will we see her iconic blonde hair return in all its vibrant glory soon?
