Is Ranbir Kapoor the Reason Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are Not Getting Married?

If there was one Bollywood couple that showed us what it meant to be head over heels in love, it was Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor.

I mean, you could just tell by the way she looked at him, couldn't you?

With Ranbir now dating Alia Bhatt and Deepika going steady with Ranveer Singh, it might all seem like it happened light years ago, but everyone can remember how completely devoted Deepika was to Ranbir.

According to a close friend of the erstwhile couple, “She was looking at a life ahead with Ranbir. She wanted marriage, babies, the works. He seemed to be all for it. She was ready to give up her career to be Mrs. Ranbir Kapoor. Then, he got bored and distracted. He moved on to Katrina Kaif. He got bored and distracted in that relationship too. But, that’s a different story.”

Deepika's commitment towards her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor was quite evident. This tattoo on her neck was more enough to prove that.

 

Well, along came Katrina Kaif, and one painful break up and equally painful tattoo conversion later, Deepika found happiness in the arms of Bollywood's other golden boy with an almost same name, Ranveer Singh. The rest, as we all know, is happily ever after.

Or is it?

It seems that those who are once bitten do tend to be twice shy, and this particular experience has left Deepika a wee bit commitment phobic.

As a filmmaker-friend of the actress revealed to a leading tabloid in a interview, “Though Ranveer Singh is completely committed in the relationship and wholeheartedly devoted to her, Deepika is now commitment-phobic. She fears her heart may be broken again. And this time she won’t be able to take it.”

With all the high profile Bollywood weddings that have happened in the recent past, the world has been waiting with baited breath for Ranveer and Deepika to announce their own version of #everydayphenomenal ASAP. Rumours of them tying the knot in Switzerland this October have also been doing the rounds, but nothing has been confirmed so far.

And now, we may have unearthed the reason why.

We do hope you get over your past quickly, Deepika. We have heard that Ranveer is more than ready and waiting patiently with a ring, and we'd just loooove to see the two of you get hitched soon.
