Ever since Ranbir Kapoor officially admitted to his relationship with Alia Bhatt in an interview with a leading mag, tabloids have gone berserk and the couple have instantly become the paps' fave. From snapping them inside Mahesh Bhatt's house, to catching them on family dinners, Alia and Ranbir are making it to our social media feeds almost every other day.

Besides the remarkable age-gap, which had many unnecessary tongues wagging, the couple dating was considered controversial also because of the fact that Alia was good friends with Ranbir's ex-girlfriend Katrina Kaif. There were many rumours stating that this new relationship has definitely soured the seeds of friendship, which the two women shared. Not only were they gym buds, but they have also appeared together on a chat show that hosted Bollywood's BFFs.

Talking about her bond with Katrina, Alia had earlier stated, "I've known Katrina for a couple of years now. We've got to know each other organically. It all happened when Kat and I started spending time in the gym. Today, she's someone who I can say is my friend. I know I can count on her when I'm in trouble and she can count on me, for sure. She's got my back and I've got hers."

It was not until yesterday when Alia rendered these rumours baseless, when she took to her Instagram stories to wish her 'best-friend' on her birthday, just like many other celebs. Here's what she posted for Katrina Kaif:

In fact, there seemed to be no cold vibes between them even when they were attending Sonam Kapoor's wedding reception party. Now, that's what we call a mature friendship.

And this picture speaks louder than words to prove the same.

So, it is quite clear that Katrina is unperturbed by Alia and Ranbir's budding relationship, and it is safe to say that there is no truth to these rumours. This just speaks volumes about how women today are beyond petty goss and misunderstandings, and stand for supporting each other no matter what. More power to you, Alia and Katrina!
