This Is What Priyanka Chopra Had to Say About Her Alleged Engagement to Nick Jonas

Celeb gossip runs the world, doesn't it? Even the most erudite of us cannot resist clicking on articles that talk about celebrity lives and drama. This only goes to show that celebrities — actors especially — are forced to live a very public life, which is constantly probed and talked about, often without their consent. But this is taken as part and parcel of being famous. 

However, celebrities are humans, too, turns out. Something Priyanka Chopra recently pointed out at a conference, where she was asked about her alleged engagement to Nick Jonas. She responded with a neat shut down: 

"My personal life is not for public consumption. 90% of my life is for public consumption but 10% is for me. I am a girl and I have the right to keep that to myself. My family, friendship, my relationships are things I don’t think I need to defend or explain it to anyone. I am not running for Office, so I don’t think I need to give explanations."

True, she doesn't owe any of us an explanation, or confirmation, about her relationships. So, the only thing to do is to be patient and wait for the actor to tell us in her own time. In the meantime, though, we (hopeless romantics) would like to continue wishing and dreaming that Priyanka and Nick have their happily ever after, soon.
