While the West has been mesmerised by Taylor Swift and her girl gang for the longest time, Bollywood has its own gorgeous set of 'besties', strutting about in style giving everyone major #SquadGoals every now and then.

This hot and happening power girl gang, which includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora, regularly post about their fun dates, group workout sessions, salon sessions, and vacation selfies on social media, and boy are we jealous!

While we've talked about Kareena's inspiring weight loss journey, and how her team (Namrata Purohit and Rujuta Diwekar) helps her stay on track, there are some interesting revelations about her girl squad and how they played their part in the process. In conversation with Mid-Day, Kareena admitted that her best friend Amrita Arora Ladak has always been by her side, motivating her throughout her journey to fitness.

"A special chapter in a book [on my life would] need to be dedicated to her. Without her push, and her constant care, this would not have been possible. She'd remind me to eat healthy, urge me to train, and even offer to do so together. She was always there while I was putting on my sneakers and fitting into my tights, telling me, 'C'mon, we have to do this."

We can't say we're surprised, these two make working out look so much fun!

But just like any other group, there are friends who push you to your goals, and then there are others who spoil and pamper you. Kareena's sister Karisma Kapoor, and her friend Malaika Arora were guilty of this, especially when Kareena was pregnant with Taimur.

"Through my pregnancy, we would go to restaurants to eat. I'd eat two entire pizzas, and then the desserts, and eventually they would be tempted. They started putting on weight because of me. Every morning, I'd wake up and say, 'I want to eat samosas with motichur laddo'. And they'd be like, 'Oh God, we can't do that.' I'd urge them to eat, and eventually, they'd relent. So they've done that with me, and even brought me back to shape. Having a good friend is so important in this journey."

Thinking about catching up with your squad? Same.
