Shahid Kapoor Opens Up About the Reason Behind Buying His New House Worth ₹56 Crores

Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput plan to live with their expanding family (yes, there's gonna be baby no.2 soon!) in a new house—and according to a report by DNA—just purchased a sea-facing luxury apartment in Worli, Mumbai. As of now, they are putting up in a flat in Juhu, and have reportedly been hunting for a new house for quite a while.

 

Their adorable li'l daughter Misha, whom we catch an occasional glimpse of on their social media, is soon to turn two and with a second child on the way, the family wanted to shift to a bigger and more fam-friendly abode, as per these reports.

In conversation with DNA, the Batti Gul Meter Chalu actor talked about the same and said, 

"I have bought a new home in Central Mumbai. It will be a year-and-a-half, perhaps even two before we do the interiors and move in there. However, it’s an investment that I needed to make. I have a much smaller home in Juhu and with two children, the requirement of the family has changed."

 

It's true that celebs signed up for a life that is almost, always surrounded by the shutterbugs. But as they start a family, especially if they don't wish their children to be exposed to the clicking cameras, they yearn for privacy. On that note, Shahid explained, "Earlier, when I was house-hunting, I would tell my estate agent that I want a place where there were few neighbours. I didn’t want anyone gawking at me. I wanted to go home quietly and not be waylaid by people."

Talking about his dream home that they just purchased, Shahid further added, "The new home that Mira and I have booked has a garden and other amenities like a gymnasium, etc. Today, our requirement is having a safe place for Misha where she can play with others. We want her to be with kids of her age because that’s how she will have a regular childhood."

Currently under construction, this is what Three Sixty West is expected to look like this once it is completely built. The skyscraper is built in a manner that each house enjoys a magnificent sea view with utmost privacy.
