1. DO THE TWIST
Brock Collection’s SS19 look takes third-day hair from greasy to glam in the blink of an eye. Start by spritzing locks with dry shampoo and creating a centre parting. Then, “take the front section of hair from above each ear and pull them into a small ponytail on the top of your head,”says hairstylist Ken O’Rourke, ambassador for Charles Worthington. “Hold onto the base of the ponytail and move it around to loosen the hair and create body at the front.” Finally, bring the pony back to the centre of your head, twist into a bun and pin in place with kirby grips. Top knotch.
2. CATCH A WAVE
Chanel’s Spring/Summer beach-babe coiffure will get you in the mood for some summertime surfing. “If you don’t have naturally wavy locks, wash your hair the night before, let it air-dry, and then go to bed with it in two plaits,” says Ken. In the morning, “untie the braids and run a pea-sized amount of serum through the lengths of your hair.” (If you don’t have time the night before, you can use a large barrel curling wand on the same day instead.) Then, for the grand finale, simply let them loose, or if you want to take the look up a notch, grab two small sections of hair from the front of your head and pin them back, letting any wayward strays do their thing. Surf’s up.
3. WASH ’N‘ GO
No time to blowdry? Dash out of the door and let David Koma’s SS19 catwalk look do the work. “It’s the simplest of hairdos,” explains Ken. “After you’ve washed your hair, use a wide-toothed comb to distribute a handful of mousse at the roots, combing it back as you would with a classic ponytail.” Then, take two large grips and place one above each ear, letting the lengths fall free. When the hair has dried naturally, just remove the clips and you’re good to go.
