This Is How to Flawlessly Apply Fake Bangs

Meet Annie. As you can see, she doesn't have bangs. She loves them, but she can't have them. There's the fact that they take so much work to maintain, not to mention that when you want to grow them out, it takes, like, a year and a half. 

I'm sure you've been there. You're at the salon and want to switch up your style and think, Bangs! But then you immediately pass because it's too big of a commitment. 

Well, when you're feeling in the mood for bangs, you can have all the fringe without any of the risk by using clip-ins. Before you roll your eyes and say they never look real, allow me to show you a pretty compelling before and after. 

Here's how you put them on so that they look flawless:

1. Pick up a clip-in bang. You can get one at your local beauty store, preferably one with three clasps that secure the bang onto your head.

 2. Part your hair down the center. This moves your hair out of the way, so when you apply the faux bang, it sits flat against your head. You can even push your real hair behind your ear while you apply it, so it's out of your face.

3. Spray the clip-in bang with a little bit of dry shampoo. Synthetic hair can have a sheen to it that looks fake. The dry shampoo takes away that unnatural shine and makes it look more like your hair. 

4. Move the clip-in bang back toward the crown of your head along your part. Keep moving it back until the ends of the fringe line up where you want them to fall along your brows. This will make it less detectable when people look at you straight on, since the seam of the fake bang won't be as noticeable.

5. Secure all three clips from the underside of the faux fringe onto your natural hair so it stays in place. The fringe should blend into your haircut perfectly, thanks to the longer pieces along the sides of the bang. Brush the bang to blend into your style.
