3 Amazing Face Packs to Get Rid Of a Sun Tan Naturally

Beach holiday? Afternoon shopping? Even if you've been religious about using sunscreen, it can be hard to escape a tan in the summer.

Now, sometimes a tan is gorgeous—it can actually make you look leaner (all that light and dark shadowing) or you could say, 'Darling, I just spent a month in Ibiza'! But sometimes, you want your original skin tone back. And in those cases, we suggest you try these DIY face packs and unleash your glowing, tan-free skin.

1. Aloe-Vera-and-Lemon Face Pack

Because of its high citric content, lemon helps lighten skin and fights blemishes. Aloe Vera, on the other hand, improves skin texture, heals any sun burns and soothes skin.

To make, scoop out some Aloe Vera gel in a bowl, and add few drops of lemon to it. Apply this pack to your face, wait for 15 minutes, then rinse off with cold water. You'll notice a tan reduction from the very first application, and also deeply moisturised skin.

2. Tomato-Yoghurt-Lemon Face Mask

This face pack is loaded with the amazing bleaching properties of lemon, tomato and yoghurt, and comes with a mission to tackle pigmentation and dark spots. Plus, tomato juice is a natural astringent and toner that helps to shrink open pores, and reduces oil production from the skin's glands. Yoghurt moisturises skin, leaving it soft and supple.

You can make this pack by mixing 2 tablespoons of tomato pulp and a tablespoon of lemon juice and yoghurt each in a bowl. Apply to your face, let it sit for about 20 minutes, and rinse with cold water.

3. Oatmeal-Honey-and-Buttermilk Face Pack

Oatmeal is loaded with amino acid and silica content that help restore your skin's natural moisture. Further, oats exfoliate and cleanse all types of skin efficiently. Buttermilk soothes irritated skin, while honey is an amazing natural moisturiser.

Mix 2 tablespoons of oats, three tablespoons of buttermilk, and a spoon of honey in a bowl. Apply this mixture to your face, and gently rub in circular motions. Then let it rest for 15-20 minutes. Clean off with cold water and you'll notice radiant, glowing skin.
