Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is definitely right when she said that she was literally bombarded with messages and happy wishes when she finally graced the most popular social media channel, Instagram!

The breathtaking actor is loved across the globe, and with the advent of more and more celebs sharing the little nuances of their lives with their fans on the platform, people were obviously rooting for their fave actor to do so, and that too soon. She made her official account four days ago and it has already hit 1.4 million followers. Woah! One look at this gorg celebrity's feed, and you can instantly feel the fresh essence of a doting mom. 

In one of her candid interviews from the Festival de Cannes this year, she went on to reveal what it was exactly, that made her take the plunge and join the social media bandwagon after much persuasion. 

"For the longest time, people kept on saying, so when are you going to be on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook...something! And I kept keeping away for a very simple reason. Genuinely, I think it's fun, it's enjoyable, it can be intense. It's a great platform, a great avenue to express yourself, to connect. It is a way of life today, and tomorrow...and you have to embrace it, no doubt. But at the very beginning, I stayed away from it because initially, I felt people were only focusing on the numbers. But yeah, I succumbed..."
