Saif Ali Khan Describes a Cosy Date With Kareena Kapoor In This Throwback Interview

We have been pretty used to this power couple giving us #RelationshipGoals with their on point look and persona even when off duty, their crackling chemistry, and their social media star of a baby boy. The two with Kareena's family are vacationing in London right now, and the pictures are oozing with love!

But do you ever wonder how life is when these two are at home, outside the scrutiny of the shutterbugs, and are chilling just like a normal family? Just like us? Well if you do, this throwback interview with Saif sharing an anecdote from his quality time with Kareena when they were living together will definitely catch your fancy.

In conversation with Anupama Chopra of Film Companion, where she asked him, "I picture you at home, sipping wine in these beautiful clothes, listening to jazz. Is this close to the truth?"

He answered, "You are not wrong, you know. They are not beautiful clothes. There's probably a kurta-pyjama (ethnic menswear), but there is good wine, and there's good jazz. There's a balcony that's very small. Sometimes we have six friends, seven friends over, and they all fit in that tiny balcony and I always remember that if we move to a bigger place, that we don't forget the intimacy of this flat because the people who like each other always manage to fit in that balcony, in the most incredible nooks and crannies."

Besides that painting that distractingly pretty, and vivid picture, Saif also shared a funny memory from that time. 

"One time somebody came home unannounced the other day. Actually, we had called somebody home the other day to play 'Court Piece' which is a baby form of Bridge, and we forgot that they were coming. We thought that we'd cancelled. So we were on the ottoman, under the Jaipuri razai, watching this Poirot thing and they came over, so Kareena was like, 'Oh no, I'm really upset because I'm not dressed up. I'm in my pyjamas and T-shirt.' So I said that, 'Did you think that people think that you are normally resplendent?' So we had a laugh there, I mean this is quite normal. "
