Mira and Shahid Kapoor Reveal How They Always Put Their Kids First

From cancelling promotion schedules to hands-on parenting, Zain and Misha are their number one priority

Celebrity power couples like Mira and Shahid Kapoor seem to be able to do it all. Shahid has his busy film schedule to take care of, while Mira juggles doing ad promotions and interviews with raising their daughter Misha Kapoor. And now, as they welcomed their baby boy Zain Kapoor on the 5th September, the overjoyed couple will be busier then ever before.

Though it may seem to us like our actors are superhuman, they struggle to cope with parenting as well. For Mira and Shahid though, the plan is to put their kids first, always and forever. Shahid's daddy duties are a priority RN, as was revealed by a source.

"Shahid hasn’t slept a wink for the past 30-35 hours as he is taking care of his daughter Misha who is keeping unwell. He even cancelled his shoot for India’s Best Dramebaaaz as he wanted to be there for Mira, who is currently recovering post-pregnancy, Misha and their baby boy Zain. The team of Batti Gul Meter Chalu also didn’t go."

Shahid was to go on the show to promote his upcoming film, but the hardworking actor made an exception, putting his family first. He  will be also on a paternity leave for some time to assist Mira in taking care of Zain and Misha. Well, that is #daddygoals right there!

Mira Kapoor seems to have similar thoughts when it comes to her kids. She also has some advice to give other new mothers out there. She revealed in a recent interview the things she feels that every mother should do post delivery.

“I have spoken about the importance of feeding the baby in the past too. I was extremely religious with Misha and I am going to do the same with my newborn. It is the greatest gift you can give your baby.” She also added that is extremely essential for new mothers to "be happy and eat well.” Mira added, “Also, it's important to sleep whenever the kids allow you to because that will no more be in your own hand.”

Mira also stressed on the fact that she and Shahid are going to make sure that their two-year-old daughter Misha does not feel ignored with the arrival of their second child. Her focus, she shared, is to create a perfect balance.

Both Shahid and Mira sure have a lot to teach us about parenting. We wish them and their family all the joy and happiness and look forward to seeing tons of adorable pics of them together as well.
