What? Anand Ahuja Once Tried to Set Up Sonam Kapoor With His Best Friend?

When we think of Bollywood love stories, many come to mind, but one that really stands out for us is that of Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja. The duo, who tied the knot earlier this year, just seem perfect for each other! And while they didn't shy away from PDA on their social media, they did keep the details of their #everydayphenomenal relationship under lock and key.

However, we finally have the inside scoop on how it all started. Sonam spilled the beans recently on a talk show, where she was asked how Anand proposed — to which she answered, "Without a ring." And she continued:

"It was supposed to happen sometime in October but a few months before that we were in New York and this one day I was being a brat because I was having a crappy day. I was complaining about how there was no good person in New York when he was biking and I was walking alongside. He just got off and got on one knee and asked if I wanted to marry him." Isn't that just so simple and super romantic?

She went on to share the story of how they met — and turns out, Anand actually was planning on setting her up with one of his best friends! "He tried to set me up with one of his best friends. Everybody wanted me to be with this who I do not want to name. They said that he was cute and nice. He is still available and amazing. But I didn’t get that vibe from him. My friends corned me during the promotions of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. They called me on a dinner and didn’t know that he was going to be there."

But it obviously wasn't meant to be, as she further added, "Anand was with him and I ended up speaking to Anand the whole evening. That was the first time I saw him and had a conversation with him. Then we fell in love over the phone."

Now isn't that just a romcom movie-worthy story?
