Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Just Broke Away From Kate Middleton and Prince William in a Major Way

Looks like the rumors were true—Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are splitting from the joint charity they shared with Kate Middleton and Prince William. The Royal Foundation will go on without Meghan and Harry, and the royals made it all very official with a palace statement today.

Here's what it says:

“The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex has today announced the conclusions of a review into its structure, and how it will best support Their Royal Highnesses with future charitable activity.

Later this year, The Royal Foundation will become the principal charitable and philanthropic vehicle for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will establish their own new charitable foundation with transitional operating support from The Royal Foundation. In addition, both couples will continue to work together on projects in the future, including on The Foundation’s mental health program, Heads Together.”

Today, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle attended the inaugural Royal Foundation Forum. The Royal Foundation unites people to help tackle society's biggest challenges. TRH and Ms. Markle discussed the inspiration behind The Royal Foundation, the issues that are close to their hearts, and their ambitions for the future. This was the first time The Royal Foundation has brought together people from across all of its programmes, including @invictusgames2018, @Heads_Together, @united4wildlife, #CoachCore & #EndeavourFund.

Kind of a bummer, NGL. The palace added that this shift will “best complement the work and responsibilities of Their Royal Highnesses as they prepare for their future roles, and to better align their charitable activity with their new households.”

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are incredibly proud of what they have achieved together through The Royal Foundation," it concluded. "They are especially proud to have established a charity that has had, and will continue to have, significant long-lasting impact, changing lives for the better."

In another could-be-construed-as-a-royal-feud move, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly going to separate their charitable efforts from Kate Middleton and Prince William's.

According to The Sun, there's been some talk of Meghan and Harry breaking away from their joint charity with Will and Kate, the Royal Foundation. Another source told Us Weekly that it's definitely going to happen.

Basically, this means they probably won't be working on many projects as a foursome anymore, and they probably won't make many joint appearances. That's not to say it'll never happen, but it'll be super rare.One source told The Sun that the "feud" between the brothers has gotten significantly better since they stopped working together as much.

“The Sussexes want the flexibility of more commercial decisions. But the brothers’ relationship has vastly improved since their working lives have separated,” the source said, which makes total sense. I mean, would you wanna work every single day with your brother? Hard pass.

This is part of a whole series of moves to make the couples two separate entities, essentially. They separated their staffs, Meghan and Harry got their own Instagram, they moved away from Kate and Will, and they're generally just trying to do their own thing.

“Meghan and Harry want to do things differently to William and Kate. William is the future king and so is sometimes restricted in what he can do," the source said.

But...does this mean there won't be as many epic pics like this in the future?
