From Ryan Reynolds to Akshay Kumar, Everyone Is Doing the Bottle Cap Challenge

There was the Mannequin Challenge, the Kiki Challenge, the Harlem Shake and the Ice Bucket Challenge. Netizens are always looking for fun new ways to start a viral trend, and now it looks like there is a new one emerging. We are talking about the Bottle Cap Challenge, videos of which have been popping up all over the Internet for the past few days. Incase you haven't heard of it, or are still confused as to what it is, we have all the deets.

So, what exactly is the bottle cap challenge?

This challenge is all about showing-off your fitness levels and hand-eye co-ordination. As for the actual act, you basically have to unscrew a bottle-cap with a roundhouse kick without knocking the bottle over (easy-peasy, NOT!). The trick, as you might have guessed, is to loosen the cap beforehand and have someone off-camera hold the bottle steady. Many people are posting their videos in slow motion, making the feat seem that much more impressive.

One of the first people to do this challenge was businessman Errolson Hugh, followed by American singer-songwriter John Mayer. After this,  Hollywood star Jason Statham took up the challenge and nailed it perfectly. He captioned his video as, "#bottlecapchallenge #challengeaccepted @erlsn.acr This thing landed on my head from @johnmayer but will quickly go to a couple of fellas we’ve seen do push ups badly. All yours @guyritchie and @jmoontasri"

Well, this challenge has been going completely viral ever since. Ryan Reynolds put up a hilarious video of his #EpicFail attempt,  as did some of our Bollywood celebs. Check out a few videos to see how they went:

Our vote goes to Tiger Shroff for pulling off the challenge blindfolded, WBU?

Is it safe to try at home?

Yes, as long as you’re physically able to pull off a roundhouse kick. But it might not be a bad idea to stretch first. Brb, doing some squats and lunges.
