Despite Gigi and Bella Hadid looking like they had a whale of a time during their trip to Mykonos on Instagram, it has since emerged the models were actually robbed while on holiday.
A week ago, we were all going green with envy over Bella and Gigi's bikini pics, as they shared gorgeous photos from their Greek holiday. "Mornin 🇬🇷," Gigi captioned one, while sister Bella added, "Wish you were here .💙"
The pair were away with their elder sisters Alana and Marielle Hadid as well as a number of friends, but Gigi has since shared they were actually the victims of theft during their stay.
"Mykonos film in," Gigi wrote along with pictures of their holiday on her @gisposable Instagram account. She added, "PS(A). Don’t let insta fool u. Got robbed. Never going back lol. Wouldn’t recommend. Spend your money elsewhere [sic]."[instagram]https://www.instagram.com/p/B07Nqn6hSVQ/[/instagram]
While neither Gigi or Bella have expanded on the incident, their father Mohammed Hadid told TMZ his daughters were "traumatised", adding that they were out with their bodyguards at the time of the robbery.
"I think [Gigi] tried to call an airport to take off," he said of the group cutting their holiday short. "She had a traumatising [experience]. They were out and they had the body guards with them, but when they were out, the house was robbed. [Burglars] broke into the house while they were out. Nobody got hurt. Personal things [were taken]. Gigi and Bella [had things taken]."[instagram]https://www.instagram.com/p/B07OaQ3BCWS/[/instagram]
Sounds scary. While many fans have been sharing well wishes for Bella and Gigi, others have berated Gigi for encouraging fans not to visit Mykonos, claiming she shouldn't judge a whole island based on one incident.
