Kelly Clarkson fully didn't know who Meghan Markle was during a game on Ellen

• Kelly Clarkson, of Since U Been Gone fame, appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show where she admitted she couldn't remember Meghan Markle's name.
• The singer was playing a game where she had to identify photos of celebrities.

Up until today, I thought it was a fact universally acknowledged that we all know who Meghan Markle is. After the royal wedding in 2018, we could all probably paint her picture from memory... that is, except for Kelly Clarkson, who doesn't seem to have a clue.

The singer appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote her own new talk show. During her appearance, Ellen challenged her to a game of Hot Hands, which involved identifying celebs and revealing what she'd ask them on her show.

Kelly correctly identified Justin Timberlake, Chris Hemsworth, Drake, Jennifer Lopez and Miley Cyrus, but when it came to Meghan Markle, she was stumped.

"Uh, I know this one," she said. "She’s a princess."

Well, technically she's a duchess first. But okay.

After a little prompt from Ellen, Kelly finally exclaimed: "Meghan Markle! She was on Suits, actually I love Suits. I don’t know why she doesn’t look like a Meghan to me, maybe I’ll ask about that."

Yep, you ask her that, Kelly.

She then added: "But I would ask, 'What are the stresses of being a princess?' That’s would I would ask."

Doubt Meghan will be answering that any time soon.
