Ishaan Khatter's A Suitable Boy to Be Showcased At the Toronto International Film Festival

The BBC miniseries directed by Mira Nair premiered on July 26th to rave reviews, and will now be screened at the closing ceremony of TIFF 2020

The fan's of Vikram Seth's magnum opus period novel A Suitable Boy finally have finally got their wish. Critics tuned in eagerly on the 26th of July to watch the premier of the eponymous BBC miniseries directed by Mira Nair. The show has received stellar reviews in the UK, and audiences in India wait to watch the series and weigh in. 


Playing the lead role of of Maan Kapoor is Ishaan Khatter, and it is part the actor plays with aplomb. His performance has been praised by critics, and Indian audiences eagerly await Ishaan's layered and complex portrayal of the character, as well as his unusual pairing and on-screen chemistry with Tabu, who plays the role of courtesan Saeeda Bai.


While the six-part series has gotten the viewers’ attention right from the first episode, the TV drama will also be showcased at the 45th edition of the Toronto International Film Festival. It is said that the first two episodes from the drama will be shown at TIFF’s closing ceremony.
