Mariah Carey Hits Her Signature High Note While Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine

Mariah Carey's *still* got it. Her famous voice isn't reserved for concerts or albums. It's not only appropriate at events and special appearances. Nope. Actually, we're pretty sure that it makes everything better. Mariah recently shared a v ~Mariah~ video of herself getting the COVID-19 vaccine. She captioned the Instagram post, "Vaccine side effect: G6."

In the video, she jokes with the doctors and keeps the mood light. "They're having a medical narrative, but I'm here," she says. "Excited and nervous a little bit about getting this shot. This is distracting them from doing their job, but you know how I am. I just talk and don't really think about it."

She continues, "Here we are, all the way from that first post, washing my hands with Roc and Roe in New York, trying to encourage people to really be safe. You know, we're still in this battle together."

The rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine in the U.S. began in mid-December of 2020. It was originally limited to specific groups including health care workers and nursing home residents. However, the current rollout is continuing to add more approved groups. The guidelines are on a state-by-state basis, but President Joe Biden has announced that all adults should be eligible to receive a vaccine by May 1.

"Here we are, hoping for the best, encouraging you guys to do it when you can," Mariah told her 10 million followers during the fun video. "We're all in this together, as we've said. Love you much!"
