To all the nonbelievers who thought Kristen Stewart’s casting as Princess Diana in the upcoming film Spencer was a misinformed choice, it’s time to eat your words. Neon and Topic Studios, the companies distributing the movie, just released the first image of Kristen in Diana’s likeness, and holy freakin’ sh*t, she looks so good—SO REGAL—that your world is about to be turned upside down (but, like, in the best way possible).
Presenting your new Princess Diana:

Although Kristen’s role as Bella in The Twilight Saga should have been enough to turn me into a proper K-Stew stan (I was jealous she got to kiss both Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner in the movies, okay??), this image and its overwhelming power have officially sealed my fate as a die-hard supporter until the end of time/for the rest of my life/whichever comes first. And of course, people are stunned by Kristen’s transformation:
wait omg i had trouble reconciling kristen stewart with diana but here she looks exactly like her??????? my mind is blown https://t.co/nthGwmq6Qs

Everything about this project screams "Kristen Stewart's Oscar win" and let me say I am HERE FOR IT https://t.co/0G0WSEHrSJ
Kristen spoke about playing Diana in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel last year and said she has nothing but love for the late princess. “I feel sort of the same way about her, and it happened really quickly,” she said. “I didn’t grow up with her maybe in the same way. I was really young when she passed away…it’s hard not to feel protective over her. I mean, she was, like, so young and obviously she comes out to here.”

According to Kristen, “Spencer is a dive inside an emotional imagining of who Diana was at a pivotal turning point in her life,” she told Deadline. “It is a physical assertion of the sum of her parts, which starts with her given name, Spencer. It is a harrowing effort for her to return to herself, as Diana strives to hold on to what the name Spencer means to her.”
Spencer is set to debut in fall 2021, which cannot come soon enough. Take! My! Money!!!
