Today, millions of people in India are grappling with the second wave of Covid-19. While countless numbers are dealing with the ground reality of this disease, those of us at home are endeavouring to do our best as we brave the pandemic together. In these times of isolation, people are coming together virtually, rising to the occasion and lending their support in any way they can.

Numerous celebrities have been pitching in to do their best, be it by starting fundraisers, spreading awareness, sharing important numbers and information, supporting frontline organisations and more. Priyanka Chopra Jonas has set up a fundraiser to provide Covid relief, urging the global community to donate. Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma and many Bollywood actors have made donations and used their Instagram platforms to spread awareness and information.

Actor Sonam K Ahuja is leading by example as she sends out a message to her followers, urging them to help in any way they can. Watch her heartfelt video below.

"I know things in India are intense with Covid-19, " shares Sonam. "In such difficult times, we all need to do our bit. I have decided to highlight resources on my Instagram and repost requests for help. Tag me in your post and we will help them amplify your request for help. These times are extremely challenging and I urge everyone to stay at home, cut down on all unnecessary travel, wear masks at all times, together we can get through this. Stay Safe, Lots of love"

True to her word, Sonam has dedicated part of her Instagram feed to multiple crowdsourced guides with verified leads on available resources. She has also compiled extensive and informative guides to recovering from Covid-19 at home, donating plasma, caring for those in hospital, getting vaccinated and donating funds.

It is not only monetary means by which you can do your bit. Sonam suggests sharing verified posts, amplifying resources and giving any time you can to help those who need support.

Most importantly, she urges that we all register ourselves to get vaccinated at once and help others around us who lack access to the Internet with the registration process.
