On 18th November, Preity Zinta took to Instagram to make a special announcement—Gene and she became parents! The couple welcomed twins, Jai and Gia, via surrogacy and "are very excited about this new phase of their lives." In her post, she wrote, "A heartfelt thank you to the doctors, nurses, and our surrogate for being part of this incredible journey."

From Shilpa Shetty to Priyanka Chopra, Dia Mirza, and Madhuri Dixit, Bollywood's who's who congratulated the new parents, sending across their good wishes. After nearly 20 days of no baby updates, yesterday, Preity took to Instagram to share the first glimpse of one of her twins. A slew of celebrities, including Patralekhaa and Anushka Sharma, took to the comment section to drop heart emojis. The couple recently celebrated thanksgiving with their little ones in the United States of America. "Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating. The interracial couple tied the knot on 29th February 2016 in an intimate ceremony in Los Angeles. The close-knit celebration was followed by a grand reception in Mumbai for industry friends. While Preity Zinta has been on a long hiatus on-screen, she recently completed 23 years in Bollywood and took to social media to celebrate her tenure in the film industry. "Today, I celebrate 23 years in movies, and I must confess I’m a bit overwhelmed thinking about all those people that have contributed to my journey," she wrote.
