Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund Have Reportedly Split Up, After Nearly 3 Years Together

Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund—who welcomed their first child, Rhodes Robert Hedlund, in December 2020—have called it quits as per sources. Following a rocky few months in their relationship, the couple chose to split up a few weeks ago. "It's sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent. It's been hard," an insider told People. Last month, the pair celebrated baby Rhodes first birthday with a rodeo-themed party.

Emma and Garrett began dating back in March 2019 and welcomed their son a year later. On 13th January 2021, she posted the first picture with her newborn and revealed his name on Instagram. "Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right," wrote the actor, who welcomed her baby amid the global pandemic. "To see my body change, inside-out, so drastically, has been a wild experience. Surprising and beautiful. Then again, some days I feel like I’m being hijacked by something," the 30-year-old actor told Cosmopolitan. "Ever since I was little, I wanted to have a baby, in theory. When I was a kid, I begged my mom to have another baby," she added. 

The star was previously engaged to Evan Peters, whom she dated from 2012 to 2019. Garrett, on the other hand, was briefly engaged to Kirsten Dunst, whom he was with from 2012 to 2016. Ever since the breakup, he has joined Instagram, sharing his first post to promote his new single, 'The Road'.
