Just Married! A Sneak-Peek Into Alia-Ranbir's Wedding Ceremony

Looking resplendent as ever, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are now husband and wife. The newly-married couple performed their wedding ceremony with close family and friends at Ranbir's familial abode, RK House, Chembur. Alia took to Instagram and shared pictures with an emotional note which said, "Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot—the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship—we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special." 

Both Alia and Ranbir ditched the traditional red and opted for the calming energy of white. The couple was styled by celebrity fashion stylist Ami Patel in Sabyasachi creations. While Alia wore a hand-dyed organza sari in ivory, Ranbir wore an embroidered silk sherwani. Their look was pulled together with jewels from Sabyasachi Heritage Jewellery.

Alia's sari showcased fine tilla work and the veil was a handwoven tissue iteration. Ranbir, on the other hand, went for a silk organza safa and a shawl that had intricate zari work done on it. Alia's make-up was done by celebrity make-up artist Puneet Saini. Her look comprised of lightly tinted rosy cheeks, filled in eyebrows for a bushy effect that was coupled with generous coats of mascara and a nude pink lip. We love how she kept it simple yet elegant! 

Take a closer look and you will notice Alia's ensemble had a lot of thought put into it. The heart-warming details include her custom-made kaleeras which featured birds, stars, and clouds. It also featured the infinity symbol, the same was spotted on her mangalsutra as well. Her blouse too featured butterfly motifs spread all across with floral details.
