Kangana Ranaut is known to speak her mind. She has fearlessly spoken about the issues she faced in the industry and about Nepotism, of course. This time it's someone else speaking about the injustice done BY Kangana.
Recently, teaser of the movie, Simran was released on Youtube. In just two days the video got more than two million hits. But, what cropped up even faster was a controversy!
Apurva Asrani, the 'story, screenplay & dialogue' writer of the movie wrote a Facebook post accusing Kangana for taking credit of his work.
The National Award-winning screenwriter, Apurva has revealed that he was arm twisted into giving Kangana a co writer credit.
According to his post, Kangana's claim that she and Hansal Mehta, the director of Simran, wrote the film from just a one line screenplay is completely false. Apurva has given a detailed account of events and how he was made to give in to Kangana's demand for an additional writing credit.
He says,"He(the director, Hansal Mehta) informed me nervously that Kangana is turning director and therefore has demanded a co writer credit."
So far there has been no statement issued from the director or Kangana herself.
Here's what Apurva Asrani posted on Facebook:
