"Bipasha Basu Is Jealous, Her Only Claim To Fame Is a Catfight With Me...", Kareena Kapoor's Throwback Interview is Savage AF

Kareena Kapoor is the queen of sass and indisputable controversies, most of which can be credited to her sharp tongue which spares no one! Her impulsive and prompt remarks—be it about anyone's sartorial choice, acting skills or their squad—Kareena makes it a point to give her opinion point blank, if she is asked for it. Probably why people love her so much, don't you think?

Her *cat-fight* with Bipasha Basu was the one to put the term on the map we suppose. Their film Ajnabee was where it all begun, and the issue garnered so much heat that it became one of the biggest rivalries Bollywood ever witnessed.

Kareena's alleged racist remark about her then co-star Bipasha Basu where she supposedly called her a "black-cat" was obviously not well received by her and blew up into a huge controversy.

In an interview with Filmfare back then, Kareena was quizzed about the whole matter to which she bluntly replied, "She (Bipasha) just doesn't seem to have any confidence in her own talent. In a four-page interview, she spoke about me for three pages. Why not talk about your work? I think her only claim to fame is that she fought with me during Ajnabee over Vikram Phadnis(dress designer)."

When asked to throw some light on her racist comments, Kareena clearly denied having uttered them at all. "She's given statements that I called her uncharitable names. Now, that's a figment of her imagination."

Kareena went on to explain further, how she feels that Bipasha's rage stems from her apparent jealousy towards her stature and position in the industry.

"My mother has always taught us sisters to be honest. But my sister has learnt to be tactful, which I haven't. Lolo (Karisma) keeps screaming at me for shooting my mouth off. But no two persons are the same. I'm very different from my sister. Even my mother has come to terms with our dissimilar temperaments. But I certainly don't look out for hostile situations. On the contrary, it's the others who get hostile. Maybe they feel jealous because success has come too easily to me, being a star-kid, a star-sister and all that. Still, I haven't had it easy. Success may have come easily to me but to remain there is tough. It's far more stressful for me than anyone can imagine!" Ouch!

The issue got so out of hand, that even today, years after this controversy the two actors do not work together, or even hang out off-screen. Clearly, the heat between them has not faded and they refrain from bumping into one another at parties or events.

Even Bipasha was asked about her take on the whole matter, and she was less savage than Kareena, maintaining a pretty diplomatic stance.

"All I said was that we didn't interact off screen, and then I see different quotes turning and twisting what I had said."

On working with Kareena ever again, she said, "No, I will not work with Kareena again. Because you either get along with people or you don't. I believe that if you get along with people off screen, you gel with them on screen. I didn't have any interaction with her, so I don't know. I don't think I would like to do a film with Kareena again. Because, at the end of the day I want to have fun." Are you saying Kareena is not fun, Bipasha? :O

The two actors couldn't help but take their rivalry even to popular chat show Koffee With Karan, at the time of their rapid fire rounds, subtly letting each other know that the war ain't over yet!

She also took a dig at Bipasha's then boyfriend, John Abraham's acting skills, saying she would never work with him, and that he only has 'one expression'.To which Bipasha curtly replied in the next episode stating according to her, Kareena has too many expressions!
