In This Throwback Interview, Sridevi Says She Would Never Marry a Married Man

Sridevi is a proud wife and a doting mother of two of the most stylish sisters in Bollywood. The actor, with her hard work has achieved a lot in the industry.

Like every other star, Sridevi too had to face a lot of controversies. One of them was being linked with the actor, Jeetendra. The duo did three movies together.

In a throwback interview with a leading magazine in 1984, Sridevi said that she would never get married to a married man.

On being asked about the link-u rumour with her co-star, Jeetendra, Sridevi said,"He is such a nice man, I can never forget how helpful he was on my first day of shooting. But Jeetu gave me all the moral support and confidence I needed. He went out of his way to make me feel comfortable by explaining the dialogues to me, and his kind and helpful nature really appealed to me."

"I am an innocent girl. I'm not a fool, but I am not a calculative person either. And I am certainly not a man-eater," she had said.

This was her take on second wives,

"It's a wrong belief that second wives are a common feature in the South," she said "Even here, it's a big thing to marry a married man or have a second wife. Everyone gossips about it. People are more conservative in the South than in Bombay."

Today, the actor is married to the film producer, Boney Kapoor. And as they say nobody can change the fate.
