1. Deepika Padukone
She rose to the position of a 'superstar' with her debut Bollywood film, Om Shanti Om in 2007, when she starred opposite Shah Rukh Khan, and won over everyone with her character, Shantipriya. The movie fetched DP her first award in Bollywood, a Filmfare for Best Female Debut. She also won the Zee Cine Awards 2008 Most Promising Debut Female. Here's a snippet from the same!
2. Shah Rukh Khan
He began his acting career on television by playing a soldier in the television series Fauji (1988). His first award in Bollywood was the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his debut film—the romantic drama Deewana (1992), in which he played a supporting part.
Here's the video from that ceremony:
A cult romantic flick even today, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, starring SRK and Kajol is loved by people across generations. A brimming pool of talent, Kajol received her first award in the industry for this film, the Filmfare Best Actress Award.
4. Ameesha Patel
Even though she wasn't the original choice for the female lead of the film, Ameesha Patel was loved immensely for her role in Kaho Na...Pyaar Hai.The film entered the Guinness Book of World Records for bagging 92 awards, and Ameesha won her career's first award, the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut, which was presented by Priyanka Chopra (looking unrecognisable AF!) and Esha Deol. This is the same ceremony that witnessed Kareena Kapoor accepting her Face of The Year award, in a supremely disappointed manner, since she lost the Best Debut award to Ameesha!

5. Parineeti Chopra
She happened to stumble in to acting by chance, but who would have thought that for a supporting role in her debut film Ladies V/S Ricky Bahl, Parineeti would go on to win a number of awards and garner such critical acclaim! Not only did she bag the Filmfare award for Best Female Debut, but also received the same at other ceremonies, including Screen Awards, IIFA Awards, Producers Guild Film Awards, and Zee Cine Awards. Additionally, Chopra won the IIFA Award for Best Supporting Actress, and the Producers Guild Film Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Clearly, people adored her character! Here's a glimpse of Parineeti accepting her ZCA award:
6. Ranveer Singh
At the 56th Filmfare Awards, Ranveer Singh won his first Bollywood award, Best Male Debut for Band Baja Baraat. He broke down while receiving the award, and neither we, nor he (probably) had even an inkling that in just 5 years, he will be everyone's fave actor in Bollywood. With his contagious energy, and unbelievable method acting that raises the bar with every film, Ranveer has certainly risen to the top at lightening speed.
7. Preity Zinta
Face it, every one had a crush on this dimpled beauty of Bollywood, and we're still so sad that she hasn't graced the silver screen in so long. Preity Zinta had a successful career in Bollywood, and with her looks and strong personality, won the Zee Cine Award for Best Debutante Award for Soldier in 1998.
Have a look at this beauty accepting her first award.
8. Akshay Kumar
Probably one of the very few celebs to win their first award for a negative role, Akshay Kumar bagged his first award, a Filmfare, in 2002, for his his negative role in Ajnabee. It's hard to miss how different he looked back then!
9. Alia Bhatt
She was an instant hit with her big launch in Bollywood, under the Dharma Productions banner with Student Of The Year, and even won the Lions Gold Awards for Favourite Debut (Female). But she was awarded her first Filmfare for her groundbreaking performance in Highway. From thereon, the actor steadily climbed the stairway to stardom, and is the most sought after female star in the younger brigade of actors today.
10. Karisma Kapoor
Karisma Kapoor joined the film frat at a very young age, and delivered some phenomenal performances. Breaking the male stereotype in the Kapoor clan, Karisma was a star in her own right, and won the Filmfare award in 1997 for Best Actress in Raja Hindustani.
Here's a video of Karisma receiving her Filmfare award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for her role in Dil Toh Pagal Hai, just to give a glimpse at how different she looked back then!
