Not long after entertaining the world with an entire category about celebrity BFFs, Jeopardy flexed its pop culture muscles again this week with a question about Rihanna. The category Rainy Songs included a clue about Rih's 2007 hit "Umbrella," which of course necessitated that Alex Trebek read the iconic "ella, eh eh eh" part aloud. I use the word "read" because using the word "sing" to describe what he's doing here doesn't seem quite right. Also, it kind of seems like he's never heard this song? Because most people would look at this and pronounce "eh" to rhyme with "hey," like Rihanna does, but the way Alex says it sounds like he's trying to say no to a dinner invitation but hasn't quite worked up the courage to lie about preexisting plans. Either way, good on Val for knowing her Rihanna back catalog.
