This Video of Katrina Kaif Being Heckled/Harassed By Her Fans is Going Viral...

The glittery world of entertainment, and even social media, seems too good to be true. While being famous and having a fan following of millions does have its perks, sometimes, that fan-love crosses the limit and enters the territory of unacceptable.

If you're confused, we're referring to this particular video which has been doing the rounds of the Internet. Katrina Kaif, who is currently on her Da-bangg tour, along with many other celebs, was heckled at by some fans on the street in Vancouver when she was heading towards her ride after work. From shouting out "We don’t want to take a picture with you. Booooo!" to further calling her out for acting pricey and disrespecting her fans by ignoring them, these haters just DID NOT stop and even said, "You need to have a better attitude. People call you an actress but when people come to meet you, you ignore them."

If you think about it, they have a point when they say that celebrities owe their status to their fans. If it weren't for an audience, a performer without recognition would be nowhere, no matter how talented they may be.

With an all-caps BUT, there cannot be more emphasis laid on the fact that fans, and even the shutterbugs, sometimes push it too far—to borderline insensitivity. Katrina tried to reason with them, explaining (unsuccessfully though!) how tired she was after a long show — an important reminder that celebs are human too. Mobbing them and getting inappropriately close is far from civil behaviour. Katrina, however, did the only thing she could and ignored the angry fans and posed with those who were patiently waiting for her. Well handled, we say!

There have been cases when celebrities have been mobbed and harassed, which really is not cool. Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, even celeb kids like Suhana Khan and so many others have been on the unpleasant end of this situation. Having a public life is an inevitable part of their profession, but they sure have a right to privacy, as a human being for crying out loud! So, next time you see a celebrity being mobbed, remember that they are just like you and deserve respect just as much as you.
