Every year sees reputed research institutes and media houses put together a list of the most influential, the richest, the most powerful, and the most beautiful people on Earth. And while many of the featured names are predictable, some names do come as a pleasant surprise from time to time. One such pleasant surprise, was YouGov's Most Admired List. Among the 20 men and 20 women featured on the list, we spotted the names of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra. Yaass Queens!
And while these women shone on the list, only one Indian man made it on the list, and it ain't no surprise — Amitabh Bachchan. Imagine having such a big impact, that even after 50-odd years in the industry, you still make it global influence lists. A UK-based research giant, YouGov publishes many annual lists, one of which entails going through more than 35,000 interviews online, of people from over 35 countries. So we guess, we can say that we can count on these numbers, eh?
The list also included names like Angelina Jolie (who topped the list, of course), Bill Gates, Michelle Obama, and more. It's truly heartwarming to see more Indians, especially women, make a space for people of colour at the top.
