Here's Why Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt Missed DeepVeer's Wedding Reception

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh's star-studded reception in Mumbai was a total hit. Bollywood surely knows how to party and that's exactly what happened when #DeepVeer invited their friends from the film industry to celebrate their togetherness. From the snippets that made it to social media, we can tell it was one helluva night! 

 

 

Like we said, it was a very starry affair. But, that one person who the fans were eagerly waiting for, sadly, never showed up. It is none other than Ranbir Kapoor. Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor's relationship or even their break-up was never under the wraps. Both the actors never allowed their broken relationship to get in the way of their professional relationship. In fact, during an episode of Koffee With Karan Deepika revealed how there is no awkwardness between the two of them now.

 

But, when the whole B-town was in attendance except Ranbir and Alia Bhatt, who he is currently dating, a lot of speculation started. However, it is not that they weren't invited or gave this event a miss due to their history. Blame it on the hectic shooting schedule because of which both, Alia and Ranbir could not make it to DeepVeer's reception. A leading tabloid mentioned in their report that Alia and Ranbir had a 20 hour shift on Saturday. They were shooting for Ayan Mukerji's movie Brahmastra and hence couldn't make it for the party.
