"Of Course They're In Love": Mahesh Bhatt on Alia Bhatt And Ranbir Kapoor

Of all the hottest couples in Bollywood, one that keeps us intrigued and constantly on our toes is Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. The two sparked rumours of dating earlier this year, when they went to Sonam Kapoor's reception together. A few weeks after that, Ranbir confirmed his relationship, but was very vague about how serious the two were. 

Now, it's been more than six months, and the two actors have done more than confirm their relationship — they've openly expressed their love and affection for each other online and off. So now, the big question that keeps hounding them is that of marriage. Although the couple have never commented on these reports, they've kept fans guessing, still, about where they stand. Now, finally, Alia's father, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt has given us some confirmation of their relationship status. 

In a recent interview, Bhatt Sr. revealed the couple was very obviously in love, but couldn't confirm their plans to marry: "Well, of course they’re in love. You don’t need to be a genius to get that! I love Ranbir… he’s a great guy. What they do to their relationship is something they’ll have to figure out."

He continued, "Whether it’s heading towards that port called ‘marriage’ — which is an institution that needs to be questioned in the second decade of the 21st century — is something for them to figure out. I’m no one to hazard a guess when that would happen or which way the relationship is going. It’s life and life needs to be lived on its own terms. Let’s wait and see what tomorrow brings for us!”

Well, we'll just have to wait and see!
