Something Called a "Super Blood Wolf Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse" Is on Its Way to F*ck You Up

On January 21 at 12:12 AM EST, a mouthful of a lunation happens–the Super Blood Wolf Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse. Basically, the moon eclipses while the sun is in Aquarius and the moon is in Leo. But what does this do, and why does it have such an ominous name??? ?

In astrology, eclipses press the skip button on life and compel you to make a ton of progress in a short amount of time by introducing new information, projects, and relationships through circumstances you have no control over. This turns your world on its head until you adapt to the changing circumstances and move forward. Solar eclipses are happier and provide new opportunities, while lunar eclipses are more emotional and quiet, symbolizing the end of a cycle or some form of loss that makes room for whatever comes next.

Since February of 2017, there have been eclipses cycling through the signs of Leo and Aquarius back-to-back. Eclipses always happen in pairs, usually between sister signs, AKA opposite signs, like Leo and Aquarius. Each set of eclipses revolves around a central theme or axis–in Leo and Aquarius, the eclipses brought your attention to your sense of self vs. your idea of others. They called you to question “How do I stand out, and what makes me unique?” “How do I operate within my relationships, and what kind of relationships do I attract?”

There have been eight eclipses in this cycle so far, with this final lunar eclipse being the ninth. The first set of eclipses in February 2017 brought drama and confusion to your relationships. You likely realized that you’d outgrown some people and needed to connect with others in a different way around this point. Fast forward to that August and the next set of eclipses (including the first total solar eclipse in about 100 years), which urged you to ask your place in the big picture.

January 2018 brought the next couple of eclipses, which focused on your private self vs. your public self and urged you to stay true to who you are, no matter who’s watching. You were made aware of self-imposed restrictions that you set in order to fit in with the crowd or stay in relationships that no longer served you, and were called to step into a more sincere lifestyle and accept yourself. The last couple of eclipses in summer 2018 shed a light on the true opinions and feelings of others. After coming to terms with yourself, this was the point where you had to take a hard look at how other people truly felt and acted and determine whether they were aligned with your best interests.

As this final eclipse wraps things up, it asks you to reflect on how your relationships have changed in the past two years. You’ve likely lost people that you thought would be around forever—eclipses like these are notorious for being the harbingers of big breakups—but maybe you’ve found some new people along the way that will stick by your side instead.

All of these lunations lead up to this final eclipse in the Leo/Aquarius cycle—the Super Blood Wolf Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse! The last trials and tribulations in your relationships are building up to a climax now, and the final results of this cycle are right around the corner. This can mean cutting out toxic relationships, or removing a self-imposed mask that prevents you from living your truth. This eclipse promises to spill all the tea and expose hidden secrets, whether you’re ready or not! Based on the astrology leading up to the moment of the eclipse, its apparent that the theme of relationships is incredibly prominent during this final cycle.

There’s a sense of candid honesty and an eagerness to express yourself and assert your opinion. If your views are aligned with your partner’s or your friends’, this actually leads to positive interactions that strengthen your bond. However, if you’ve outlived a relationship or you’re with someone that doesn’t have your best interests in mind, it can lead to your relationships deteriorating frictionlessly.

There’s also the possibility of eye-opening encounters happening where you may have someone confess their love for you, or you realize your feelings for someone else. Whatever happens, you don’t want to jump the gun and make any new commitments (plus, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, why not wait until then?) This eclipse is the closing act of a two-year-long show about relationships, and the effects of this cycle are still waning. Wait for when the dust settles after everything is all said and done; that’ll be the best time to make your move.

The lesson you have (hopefully) learned by now is that you’re able to express yourself genuinely and there’s room for everybody to let their freak flag fly. You can form the relationships you want for yourself and thrive now. Honesty, as you have now learned, is the best policy, and nothing bad happens when you’re genuine. Understand and own what makes you different, and celebrate your uniqueness with others.

This final eclipse sheds a light on the last of the clutter you have to clear out of your relationships so that you can be 100 percent, unapologetically yourself and have a network that fully supports you! After these past Leo/Aquarius eclipses, you want to channel your inner Aquarius and show off your eccentricities. You can also honor your inner Leo and take this final eclipse as an opportunity to shed your baggage and ascend to your throne so that you can completely slay 2019!
