Kendall Jenner Used to Run Home Crying Because of Her Acne

Kendall Jenner is opening up about her "debilitating" struggle with acne in a series of Instagram Stories showing her own #10YearChallenge.

She posted a photo last night showing how bumpy her skin used to be, writing that when she was 13, she would run home "crying everyday" because people would stare at her skin.

But now she's 23, and her skin is totally clear! She posted this photo from a photoshoot where she wore no makeup.

A few weeks ago, Kendall started a little internet controversy by hyping up an announcement that was going to leave people "moved." Her mom even posted that she was excited to watch her daughter #BeTheChange, and that Kendall "inspires her." Basically, people expected something huge.

Ultimately, said announcement was Kendall becoming the new spokesperson for Proactiv, and people had thoughts about it.

But because endorsement deals work in mysterious ways, Kendall just posted another lengthy Instagram about her skin problems and how she'd like to open up a dialogue "around skin positivity."

While there are much bigger problems happening in the world, suffering from acne for me was debilitating. It’s something that I’ve dealt with since I was a young teen and has caused me to feel anxious, helpless and insecure. As humans, I don’t think we share our insecurities enough because we live in a time where being “perfect” is the standard. We curate our life online and pick the pretty moments to post. I’d like to show a younger generation that not everything is perfect. Being insecure about my acne gave me thick skin but I wouldn’t ever wish that feeling upon anyone so after trying countless options, I found something that has been helpful in maintaining clear skin for me. It’s been a long journey but I’m excited for where my skin is now. I didn’t think I’d see the day where I would feel confident posting a makeup free picture. My goal is to open up a dialogue around skin positivity. ❤️
