Nihar Pandya: "Wish I Wouldn’t Be Referred to As ‘Deepika Padukone’s Ex’."

Relationships are tricky to say the least. And what's trickier is dealing with a broken relationship. It's never easy or any less awkward for anyone, but the plebs might still get away with dodging their exes but being a public figure this luxury surely gets snatched away. Actor Nihar Pandya sure knows how that goes. 

In an interview given to Masala, Nihar spoke about his upcoming wedding to Neeti Mohan, that'll take place on 15 February. Apart from the wedding and his career, he spoke about his past relationships that could not cumulate into a lifetime of togetherness. The actor was dating Deepika Padukone before she shot to fame with her Bollywood debut.

Now that Deepika is happily married to Ranveer Singh and Nihar has found his forever in Neeti, he said, "She is happily married and there is no bitterness in my heart. In time all that one remembers are the good things. I wish her all the best in her married life. And I am sure she wishes the same for me. I only wish the headlines announcing my wedding wouldn’t refer to me as ‘Deepika Padukone’s Ex’. I’d like to think I have an identity of my own."

On the work front, Nihar will soon be seen in the magnum opus, Manikarnika wherein Kangana Ranaut is playing the main protagonist. Speaking about the same, he said, "My acting debut has taken its time. And it also took me a long time to find the woman I love. I am a late bloomer."
