Why Sophie Turner Got Engaged to Joe Jonas So Young

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams opened up about the soon-to-be-infamous ending of Game of Thrones, which is very important. Maybe even more important, however, is what Sophie said about her engagement to Joe Jonas.

She definitely didn’t expect to be engaged at this point in her life. “I was fully preparing myself to be single for the rest of my life,” she said. “I think once you’ve found the right person, you just know. I feel like I’m much older a soul than I am in age. I feel like I’ve lived enough life to know. I’ve met enough guys to know—I’ve met enough girls to know. I don’t feel 22. I feel like 27, 28.”

Wait, girls? Yeah, apparently. Sophie shrugged when she was asked a follow-up about it during the interview, saying, “Everyone experiments. It’s part of growing up. I love a soul, not a gender.” FYI, Sophie was 22 when she gave that interview, but she turned 23 on February 21.

Speaking of their wedding, Joe recently went on The Late Late Show With James Corden and gave some much-needed details on what fans can expect.

Basically, he doesn’t want to have as many ceremonies as Nick Jonas did (which, in all fairness, is part of Priyanka Chopra’s Indian heritage), and he doesn’t want to get married in the middle of a snowstorm like Kevin Jonas.

Wait, so not only is the world getting the GoT finale this spring but also a Joe/Sophie wedding this summer? Damn. Okay. Canceling literally all my plans.
