Meghan Markle's engagement ring is, arguably, one of the most famous rings in the world. So when we found out that the Duchess carried out a subtle redesign on the ring without anybody noticing, we were equal parts shocked and impressed.
To refresh your memory, Prince Harry proposed to Meghan back in 2017 over a ~romantic~ chicken dinner. The couple then debuted the engagement ring at their public engagement announcement outside Kensington Palace.
The ring itself features three stones: a larger diamond flanked by two smaller diamonds taken from Princess Diana's own collection.
Sure enough, the piece appeared on Meghan's hand at subsequent public appearances:
But following their wedding, royal fans noticed in March that the Duchess wasn't wearing her engagement ring - believed to be due to possible swelling of the fingers during her pregnancy.
While this was probably a largely logistical decision, the ring-free time offered the perfect opportunity for the ring to be redesigned.
Fast-forward to May, when Meghan and Harry stepped out for the first time following the birth of baby Archie, and the Duchess appears to be sporting a similar albeit noticeably different ring.
When you zoom in, you can see that the solid gold band appears to be swapped for a slimmer, pave-style band:
We, for one, love the new design.
