Justin Bieber attended a gala dinner hosted by Sean Penn (benefitting Penn's Help Haiti Home relief organization) in Los Angeles on the weekend. Gird your loins now: He had a teeny little Cinnabon-size man bun!

The literally hair-raising development had seemed inevitable in recent weeks, with Justin teasing the big moment on Instagram as he grew out the '90s heartthrob wet fringe thing he'd been working last fall. Here he is with Hailey Baldwin on his messy Mexican vacation over the holidays, for example, borrowing a black hair tie with which, it can only be inferred, he first made man bun magic happen:

It's worth noting that Justin's mom Patti, also at the charity event, reacted to the man bun the same way all of us would: with bemusement, but happy bemusement.
