Turns out, Matthew Perry won't be there for you. Or NBC.

"Friends" Reunion Will Be Short 1 Chandler Bing

And just like that, you dreams of a ~true~ Friends reunion have come to an end. For now. One day after NBC announced plans for a cast reunion, E! has confirmed that Matthew Perry has committed to act in a London play instead. The site reports that The End of the Longing will begin previews in February (around the same time as the taped special) and there is still a chance this Friend will send a prerecorded message for the reunion, which will be part of a TV special celebrating the career of director James Burrows.

But why, dear Chanandler Bong? Why is acting on stage in a foreign country more important than being in the same room as the folks you once made a bazillion dollars with during the peak of (most) of your careers? Does eating all the cheesecake with Jennifer Aniston mean nothing to you? Have you forgotten about your duties as a Friend?

The NBC special is set to air Feb. 21. Maybe you'll see Matthew Perry. Maybe you won't.
