So Priyanka Chopra's Baywatch Character was Initially Written for a Man!

Here's how PC got the role...

We all know that Priyanka Chopra is basically taking over the world one movie star at a time, so when she was confirmed to star with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Zac Efron in the 'Baywatch' remake, AND playing a negative character on top of that, we were reasonably excited.

But the actress has recently revealed that the character was originally written for a man!

"It (the role) was initially written for a man and they were talking to me for another part. But after the director met me, they thought I would be better as a villain and then they changed the character to be a female,"  the actress told PTI in an interview.

Priyanka's Victoria Deeds (her Baywatch character) is not her first outing as a negative character, she has played the villain in movies (pretty amazingly, if I may add!) like Aitraaz and 7 Khoon Maaf.

"It is so much fun to play a negative character because you have the liberty to go out of your comfort zone and do anything. Victoria is a very mean character," she said in the interview.
